It’s something that really irks me. I hate being second place in life, whether its a competition, with friends, with love with anything I hate being the runners up. I hate how people make it obvious that they prefer someone over me, I know I’m not the brightest person out there but i make an effort to be. I hate how some people use me as their back up, if something doesn’t work with the first preference then I’m next in line. I don’t want to be the second person because honestly who wants to be the back up, who want to be second than first, who really does? What hurts even more is that knowing you were always second. I think the only exception I would make would be if my boyfriend put me second after his family but just for once I want to be that girl who gets first place, be that girl who gets noticed first instead of someone else. But than again everyone wants the same thing, not everyone can have it. I’ll be lying if I said I was fine being the second girl.
